Tina Fu
Hello! My name is Tina Fu, and I run TinaTranslingua. I have always had a strong interest in language and culture. In 2020, I decided to study Linguistics at Uppsala University, majoring in English and minoring in Chinese. In 2023, I began my journey to become a translator at the Institute for Interpreting and Translation Studies (TÖI) at Stockholm University. During my studies at TÖI, I received positive reviews of my translation work from professional language examiners. I also completed a basic course in law at Uppsala University. One of my goals is to pass the authorization exam for translators and become an authorized translator in the future.
I was born in China in 1998 and moved to Sweden in 2010. During my upbringing, I struggled to become proficient in both Chinese and Swedish. I watched a lot of movies and TV series, listened to music, read books and news, and talked to people in both languages. In my spare time, I participate in the Swedish community, while also staying in touch with my Chinese friends and relatives to stay updated with current events in China. I have a good knowledge of both cultures and communities. Additionally, I am active on different social platforms to keep myself informed and updated.
My services
I translate from Swedish to Chinese, Chinese to Swedish, English to both Chinese and Swedish. My translation work covers various text types, including official documents, technical manuals, non-fiction, newspaper articles, tourist guides, scientific papers, popular science articles, and literary works. I also offer proofreading services in Chinese.
